But on this icon, you can see only Saint Gleb. Boris and Gleb were brothers, the beloved sons of Vladimir the Great. Both were murdered during internecine wars in the period of 1015-1019. They were known for their non-resistance against evil with violence. Both princes-martyrs are glorified in Russia, beginning from those ancient times.
