This is ...the pectoral four-pointed Catholic cross with the image of the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. The cross on which the Savior was crucified is styled like Lebanese cedar. You can distinctly see a thin wood drawing with black veins. They contrast with the gilded endings of the cross.
Such four-pointed crosses are known since the III century. Having once appeared in Roman catacombs, to this day they remain the main form of the image of the cross among Catholics. On such crosses, there is a tablet over Jesus's head that says "Jesus of Nazareth the King of Judea" in Latin – INRI.
