Symbolism and application of the item

Three beads are dedicated to one of the greatest and most ...revered Orthodox saints - Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker or, as he is called in Russia, Nikola the Benefactor. He lived in the second half of the 3rd century and was a bishop of the Lycian city of Mira, where he was famous for many miracles and works of mercy. Already during his lifetime, the people began to pray to him as to the saint, asking for help in hopeless situations. Sailors prayed to pacify the storm and save the drowning, those, who were innocently convicted - to stand up before the rulers, the sick prayed for healing, and the needy ones -for any help. And the saint heard the calls of the suffering for many miles. During his life, he performed countless miracles and does not stop performing them until today. Despite his great gentleness of spirit and purity of heart, Saint Nicholas was a zealous and ardent warrior of the Church of Christ. Fighting evil spirits, the saint made the rounds of the pagan temples and shrines in the city of Myra and its surroundings, shattering the idols and turning the temples to dust. The words of the prayer to the saint are carved on the beads. Saint Nicholas is the patron of travelers, and we pray to him for deliverance from floods, poverty, or any misfortunes. He has promised to help those who remember his parents, Theophanes and Nonna. Saint Nicholas is also commemorated on May 9 (The transfer of his relics) and on July 29 (his nativity).
