Symbolism and application ...of the item

Human life from the old times is closely connected with the sea. The benefits, given by the sea, are numerous, yet it can be very dangerous. What patron saints do the crew members and passengers of ships have? This cross is dedicated to the saints, whom any sailor can ask for help. So who are they? First of all, it is our Lord, Jesus Christ, who stopped the storm on Gennesaret lake. In Russia, in pre-revolution times it was a tradition to name a ship after the saint, who in this way became the patron of its crew and future passengers.  St. Nicolas was especially respected and beloved by the sailors for his many "sea" miracles. He rescued the ship while sailing to the Holy Land from the intrigues of demonic forces. He saved the life of a sailor who fell from the mast and developed to death. He punished the dishonest shipbuilders who, according to an agreement, refused to bring the saint home. Even after his death, St. Nicholas saved the Patriarch of Constantinople Athanasius from drowning together with the clergy. And at the end of the 11th century, the saint of God not only did not allow drowning but saved the already drowned child of a certain resident of Kievan Rus. On this cross, you can also see the images of angels, the Mother of God, and read the words of the prayer. This cross is the best gift for any sailor, or anybody, whose life is connected with the sea, or water in general.

Why should you buy this item?

•    It can protect  a person from drowning;
•    At the bottom of the cross, on both sides you can see tiny anchors. Christians adopted the anchor as a symbol of hope in future existence because the anchor was regarded in ancient times as a symbol of safety;
•    All the details are very skillfully engraved: you can even see the waves of the storm.
